Dedicated record pages are live!
In Part 21 of my project to build the biggest online archive of the Rotis font, I launch the first version of a dedicated page for each record
After experimenting with a few designs for a dedicated page for each record, I’ve launched a version 1!
Here’s the page for the aerolatte brand in the cover photo, for example.
It’s very simple for now, but the idea is to build it out to tell more of a story around each record in the archive.
It scales really well because all pages follow a consistent layout and are populated programatically using variables from the Content Management System (CMS).
Each thumbnail on the homepage, industry pages, and category pages also links to the dedicated record page. The beauty of setting all these parts of the website as components and variables is that switching on this linking feature took minutes rather than days.
Plenty more updates to come…
Nice to see a Toronto place on the list. [Canoe restaurant]. I also noticed that examples from the category pages are not hyperlinked to go to their individual page. Not sure if that was intentional or a feature yet to come.
